Reverend Father Evaristus Uche Obikwelu: B.Phil (Philosophy); S.T.B; M.Div; M.A. (Theology), was born in Agulu, a town in Anambra State, located in the South-East of Nigeria. He is a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Austin, Texas, USA. He was ordained a priest on June 6, 2009. He has served in a few parishes: both as parochial vicar and as Pastor. Father Obikwelu, is a public speaker, especially on the Catholic teachings and faith; he has given retreats and talks on topical issues and on the Mother of God, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. It’s not surprising that his first book was Mary, The Mediatrix of God’s Grace” - My call to the Roman Catholic Priesthood; followed with It is a Privilege to be Catholic; The Chronicle of the Catholic Faith – Reflections; Mary, The Mediatrix of God’s Grace (Revised Edition), and Is Catholicism Under a New Phase of Siege in Our Time, which are all inspiring. He is a regular guest at both Red-C Catholic Radio, College Station, and Guadalupe Radio Network, San Antonio, Texas (Affiliate of EWNT) USA. He has been privileged and blessed to have served in the following capacities in his Diocese of Austin, Texas: member of the Presbyteral Council of the Catholic Diocese of Austin, Texas; Spiritual Advisor of the Eastern Council of Catholic Women; and The Spiritual Director of of Red-C Catholic Radio in College Station, Texas.
