ABOUT THE BOOK

The Praying Well -- Six decades ago, an evil presence made itself known to a closely knit south side Chicago neighborhood. In that time of global chaos, it thrived on the suffering and misery of others. Now decades later, a small boy with a dying father comes face to face with the evil, and must make a choice that may have dire consequences not only for himself and his family, but for the world. Once he understands the truth, he must risk all that he loves and all that he holds most dear.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

J.L. Olguin

J.L. Olguin was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He grew up in Little Village neighborhood, where the imagination of a myriad of children echoed far and wide each and every day. When nighttime fell during the warm, late summers, the kids from around the block would gather at a neighbor's doorstep -- and the stories from parents and grandparents would chill us with horror and delight -- something that stays with me to this very day.
