ABOUT THE BOOK

I began writing this book while incarcerated in an Idaho jail, facing a prison term. I kept a journal as a form of therapy, as I came to terms with my experiences. As my thoughts and notes developed, I noticed themes cropping up; the struggle of co-dependency, the abuse of power, synchronicities and belief systems falling apart. I was writing extensively about boundary lines being crossed; moral betrayals, the places between waking and dream states, and the borders of life and death. I realized that within those notepads, I hadn't made a journal – I'd produced a memoir that could potentially help others, especially those traveling dangerous roads. At personal risk, I chose to publish it.
