Bill Croushore

Dr. Bill Croushore is the author of the column “The View from the Back 40” which appears in the Somerset Daily American. He is a contributing author to several other publications, including The Keystone Cattleman, The Pinzgauer Journal and Farm and Field and Garden. Prior to entering veterinary school at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, he worked as a retail pharmacist in Southwest Virginia. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997, he began his professional life at Camboro Veterinary Hospital in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Bill and his wife, Sheila, moved to Somerset, Pennsylvania in 2002 and he joined White Oak Veterinary Clinic. Some time ago, he approached the Somerset Daily American with an idea for a local column. Much to his surprise, they agreed to run it and his articles have appeared weekly since October 2009.
