A Big Day: Thawing the Soul is a body of work that can be inspirational to like-minded spirits, open to receiving a spark. The style or form of this narrative is a blend of poetry, memoir, non-fiction and trans-fictional riffs that often are inspired by the accompanying photograph. Some readers of these musings have called it a collection of "inspirational now-now’s." These musings emanate and ruminate from my soul are best framed as "Soul Speak," as these observations come from my multi-dimensional journey to heighten the authenticity of my mind, body and spirit. This volume contains 110 entries, with accompanying photographs* from a cadre of international photographers and artists, several embedded audio musings of performances of the works on page, with accompanying music, as an an eBook. It also includes 2 bonus entries from volume II (Your Big Day: Engaging the Soul) which will be released in 4Q 2018, as a 400 page desktop and eBook.

Diem Jones aka Dr. Fladimir MS Woo aka Dr. HM Joy is strategist, arts administrator, poet, musician and imagineer. He is currently Executive Director of Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation, CEO at All One Consulting Group and recently Director of Grants at the Houston Arts Alliance. Jones was Deputy Director for Arts Council Silicon Valley, served as Administrative Director of East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, Director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Saint Mary’s College, National Director of WritersCorps, Grants Administrator at the DC Commission on the Arts, Associate Director of Associated Writing Programs, Professor of Photography at American University and Creative Director for George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic.
