Dr. María Teresa and Néstor Montilla, Sr. have become social entrepreneurs and political strategists. They advance their honorable cause via research studies on the immigration experience in the Americas; founding and leading advocacy organizations; implementing programs and initiatives that identify and mentor new generations of leaders; and leading by example to have Latinos occupy their rightful place in US society. María Teresa and Néstor have contributed enormously to make Dominicans and Latinos part of a nationwide discourse on the future of this country and their place in it, as partners.
