His Work & Our Work

ABOUT THE BOOK

This is more than a book on the Holy Spirit. It’s a life manual. How to grow spiritually, gain peace, learn to trust, walk in faith, be confident, wait, find joy – a how-to-be-content book. But it’s only that because you will learn who the Holy Spirit truly is, not because there is some magic formula or set of 10 steps. Hopefully, Spence’s joy in his subject will also rub off on you, the reader, too! You will learn how Spence – Daddy-O - Sawyer, fell in love with a girl named Ruth, raised a family, studied scripture initially with ‘his eyes closed’ . . . and why he smiled so freely, hugged so deeply, laughed so heartily and loved so completely. "My logic says, if you know, if you understand, if you have a firm grasp of what the Holy Spirit does, why he is here on earth. Then - and this is very key - you will allow Him to rule and reign in your life." Spencer Adams Sawyer

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Spencer Sawyer

Spence was the middle of six siblings, father of seven children, an esteemed corporate executive and mentor, a loyal husband to his college sweetheart, an Elder in his church, wise and valued board member at Wayside Cross, a District Superintendent with the EFCA and Wheaton College Alumni Board President . . . the list goes on. But above everything else, and always central to all these activities, he loved his Lord, served his Savior, and shared his wisdom of grace, mercy and the Holy Spirit as a Precepts teacher and Sunday School Leader. This book is the manuscript from just one of those courses.
