Brianna Barnes

At the beginning of the year in 1995, a baby girl named Brianna Ashley Barnes was born to ecstatic parents Lena and Wesley Barnes who descended from Jamaica, West Indies. As the only daughter of four brothers, she grew up around the colorful influences of music, art, and literature. Although, she never knew how much of an impact that would make later on down the years. As a native New Yorker and of Caribean/African descent she has challenged herself to do something as meaningful as sharing a story with you all that she hopes with help you gain a different perspective from a woman's standpoint. After graduating from high school, from the Academy of Medical Technology she wandered aimlessly trying to figure out a way to find her purpose in life. A piece was missing out of her life and one of them was writing. She was always interested in storytelling, from the various aspects that it comes from such as television, movies, or even word of mouth. Discovering through prayer in 2017, that she had a gift for writing she began her quest to finish her first novel, "Time Away From The Heart."
