Project Archaeology: Investigating a Roman Villa is an archaeological investigation of the Villa of Oplontis, which was covered with volcanic ash in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. This supplemental curriculum is designed for grades 6-12. Students examine archaeological evidence from Oplontis and draw conclusions about life in a Roman Villa near Pompeii, Italy.
