My name is Hammad El-Ameen. I am the founder of the Understanding Islam Da'awah Foundation. The UIDF is a non profit organization that was established in 1995. I was born into a Christian family. I accepted the religion of Islam in 1979. After learning and practicing the religion of Islam, I began to teach new converts the importance of practicing Islam according to the teaching of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. I also in 1995 established three weekly Islamic radio programs to teach Islam to non Muslims in order to remove the misconceptions about Islam and to invite them to Islam. I conduct a weekly class for Muslims and non Muslims that is called Understanding Islam. I dedicate my time and efforts in assisting new Muslims in particular and Muslims in general in learning and practicing Islam according to the Quran and the teaching of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Islam is a beautiful way of life, and it is a life of continual learning.
