ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Martha Hickson

Martha Hickson was born and raised in Palm Beach County Florida in a small agricultural town of Belle Glade. She began her college experience at Palm Beach Community College, Florida Atlantic University, and later graduated from Fort Valley State College with a degree in Elementary Education. Martha met her husband Lester and they were married for over twenty years. Together they raised six children (Three girls and three boys.) The family moved a lot with her husband’s job advancement. Along the way she managed to teach and the love for books and reading and writing became a passion of hers. After her husband passed away, she later adopted two sibling boys who are now ages fifteen and ten. Martha’s belief in God and Christian walk has shaped her life and given her a new focus and passion for writing. Kelli Hickson has been a Christian for over fifteen years. She is currently a member of the church of Christ which focuses on New Testament Christianity. In addition, Kelli has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She has been teaching English for over ten years. In her spare time Kelli enjoys writing poetry, using computers, and cooking. She lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia with her extended family.
