This is a well done, 45-minute DVD showing the processing of a grievance, focusing on the steward-supervisor exchange. Both sides of the equation do a good job of walking through their roles, with commentary explaining why they’re doing what they’re doing – or not doing – and the strategic reasons for their actions. The steward is shown interviewing the grievant in an absenteeism case, giving the viewer a good sense of how to handle a difficult situation. This is a good introduction to grievance resolution, developed by one of the nation’s leading labor education programs. Includes 16 page DOWNLOADABLE PDF instructional booklet to assist in training.
