Sefer Nidchei Yisrael (Israel dispersed) was published in 1893 in Hebrew by the Chafetz Chayim as a 45-chapter guide to the Torah's laws of everyday life (Orach Chayim) composed specifically for Jews emigrating in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to other countries where Torah life had not yet been established. Nine of these chapters - twenty percent of the book - are devoted to the laws of relationships between men and women - the Laws of Ishut - as because of the importance of these laws it is the single most-discussed topic in the book.
