Sadanyah Flowing Water was born and raised on Long Island. She is a proud member of the Montauk Tribe of Indians. She received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Ms. Flowing Water has been writing poetry and plays since she was a small child. The first poem that she wrote won a contest in the county in which she lived, and was featured in a local newspaper when she was only eight years old. Sadanyah's mother, recognizing her daughters passion for story-telling, bought Sadanyah a tape recorder before she learned to read and write . Sadanyah who was only six at the time recorded her plays and playing all of the characters herself. As an adult, Sadanyah's love for Creative Writing has has not diminished in the slightest. and now also fuels her songwriting endeavors.
