ABOUT THE BOOK

Created in His image, with purpose and with love… Every child is a masterpiece, formed with intention and grace. Elijah’s Essence opens with a moving poem of acceptance—a mother’s heartfelt reflection on discovering her son’s autism and learning to see the divine beauty within it. From this deeply personal beginning, the story blossoms into a tender tale of Elijah, a bright and joyful little boy starting his first day of school. Excited yet uncertain, Elijah faces a new classroom, new friends, and a world that doesn’t always understand him. Through gentle storytelling and warm illustrations, readers are invited in—to feel his joy, his laughter, and the light that radiates from his soul. Though autism shapes how Elijah experiences life, it cannot contain the beauty of his essence. Inspired by a real family’s journey, Elijah’s Essence is a celebration of love, faith, and understanding. It reminds us that every difference carries divine purpose—and that the most extraordinary light often shines through the most unexpected places. A poetic and powerful story about acceptance, inclusion, and the beauty of being exactly who God created you to be.
