My Mother & Father report my first spoken word is ‘Why.’ Even before i’m able to speak they stock our home with interesting, intelligent people. Some scientists like my father. Some musicians like my mother. All lovers of art and concerts and theater. And all asking ‘why’. When I’m nine our collection includes a Jesuit PhD astrophysicist and a Rabbi PhD mathematician. Both encourage my questions about religion, their studies and their lives. Both encourage my nascent exploration to find infinity in the universe and God. Or not.
