Ken Beck was an entertainment, features and travel writer with The Nashville Tennessean for 31 years and continues to freelance for numerous papers. He has written more than two dozen books, most of them with writing partner Jim Clark. The titles include "The Andy Griffith Show Book," 'Mayberry Memories," "The All-American Cowboy Cookbook," "Terrific Tennessee" and the million-selling "Aunt Bee's Mayberry Cookbook. He has interviewed hundreds of film and TV stars but has a passion for sharing the tales of ordinary folks who have an extraordinary story to tell. Beck played organized baseball from the early 1960s till 1970 while growing up in Oklahoma and Arkansas, and was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and still is to this day.
