Ken Rand is an award-winning college math professor who retired in 2015 after 47 incredible years of teaching. Ken recently published his memoirs of his teaching experiences titled “One Student at a Time: A Teacher’s Journey”, which can be found on Amazon. This book went on to win first place in the Los Angeles Book Festival. While working at Creative Publications, Ken wrote and edited a variety of real-world activity books and developed classroom games. He has also written an Algebra textbook (published by West Publishers) called “Solving the Mystery.” Some of the strategy games that he created have been sold in retail stores such as Macy’s, J.C. Penney, and stores throughout Canada and Europe. More recently, he is one of the co-authors and contributors of the book, “Habits of the Mind” (Stylus Publishers). Ken’s latest book, “A Time Like No Other,” is being printed and will be on Amazon in November of 2025. Ken has been fascinated with word games for a long time, and in 197,6 he created a number of word games which he has now published as a complete book, “Afterwords”
