ABOUT THE BOOK

My book, INSPIRED ACTION, how an ordinary woman did extraordinary things and you can too, was written to inspire you to take action by seeing how I did it. From advising General Eisenhower as a child in occupied Germany, to stopping offshore oil rigs and even inventing Cloud The Rainbow Horse in the 1970s, I paid for my volunteer activism by airbrushing for a large department store for decades. My dream is to inspire others to act after reading some of my stories, and as an 84 year old, I am still inspired to act today!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Beth Leeds

Beth Leeds has been an activist since she was 7 years old, when she got a stop sign installed at a dangerous intersection in one day!   Beth was instrumental in stopping a huge housing development by encouraging 10,000 people to “Walk to Save the Canyon.” And, as President of Orange County Save Our Shores, she was instrumental in stopping dangerous oil drilling rigs off the entire coast of California!   Beth is an activist and an entrepreneur. As a single mom in 1968, she developed a work from home business so she could be with her children, Marielle and Clay, full time. Her business, Airlooms, featured Beth’s self-created airbrush technique, and personally airbrushed “In Store” at JCPenney stores for over 18 years. She even invented Cloud the Rainbow Horse by painting the mane and tail for her daughter’s horse, inspiring one of the most famous horses in the world. Clothing, antique jewelry, bead stores, children’s workshops and more, she did it all!   Beth now lives in Hawaii with Marielle and their furry friend Buddy. She is still active in her many pursuits including supporting Hawaiian Music Shows and the culture of the Hawaiian Kingdom. She loves to walk on the beach and watch her daughter surf.   “Living in Hawaii is really a dream come true. It is an honor for me to live with aloha.”
